SOMA Summer Residency

Trampoline support the participation of artists Elvia Teotski, Helene Yamba-Guimbi and Eva Medin in SOMA Summer 2024.

SOMA Summer is an intensive three-week residency program for artistic inquiry that welcomes a cohort of international artists, curators, critics, and art historians interested in collaborative pedagogical models.

Held in Mexico City and conducted in English, each SOMA Summer is organized around a different theme that provides a compelling conceptual framework for research and creative work. Previous themes have explored ideas related to authoritarianism, sustainability, revisionist history, among others.

Through a series of daily activities such as seminars, reading discussions, studio visits, group and individual critiques, the program aims to foster critical thinking among participants and provides a lively opportunity for understanding different perspectives within the artistic and creative realm.

Transatlantic Residencies France-Canada

Trampoline supports the residencies abroad of two emerging artists of the French art scene ; Mélodie Bajo, a graduate of IsdaT, l’institut supérieur des arts et du design de Toulouse, and Maddie Tait Jamieson, a graduate of M.O.C.O École supérieure des beaux-arts de Montpellier. Both artists will benefit from a three-month creative residency at Fonderie Darling, a visual arts center in Montreal, and a two-week visit to Gaspésie, at the Gare de Matapédia – Pôle artistique et communautaire.
