Created in 2003 by Antoine de Galbert, collector and patron, the Fondation Antoine de Galbert helps, promotes and supports creation in the field of modern and contemporary art. The foundation was granted public utility status by decree of 31 January 2003. Its mission is to support the learning of art history and the training of future artists. It acquires works to enrich the collections of certain museums. It supports research grants, residencies or catalogue projects. It created and financed La maison rouge (from 2004 to 2018), a well-known exhibition place of contemporary art in Paris.
