Since opening in 1998, the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, now Pernod Ricard Foundation, has actively contributed to the development of art scenes in France at a national and international level. Collection-less, its identity is shaped by those who animate/occupy it daily : artists, curators, writers, intellectuals… It runs a dense program of exhibitions and events, a rigorous editorial approach and organizes off-site projects. Created in 1999, the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard Prize was the first dedicated to young artists of the contemporary French scene. It now includes a yearlong companionship with the selected artists. At the end of this process, the prize-winner benefits from the purchase of a work that is donated to the Centre Pompidou, and support to realize a project abroad.
