Trampoline supports the participation of SMITH in the 25th Biennial of Photography in Porto, Portugal, with the work Dami (Fulmen) presented at the Portuguese Center of Photography as part of the Lightseekers exhibition.
The exhibition Lightseekers presents artistic practices in dialogue with the “dry light” of deserts and the “humid light” of forests, through the lenses of five contemporary artists, from West Asia to the Amazon, highlighting the similarities and dualities between the cosmopolitics emerging from these regions.
Artist-researcher, SMITH experiments with and explores the connections between contemporary humanity and its limit figures—specters, mutants, hybrids—through collaborations with writers, astronauts, farmers, shamans, engineers, designers, scientists, philosophers, performers, and composers.
